1. Purpose

To ensure all employees and contractors possess the essential knowledge and skills to perform their roles safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory and company standards.


2. Scope

Applies to all employees, contractors, and visitors engaged in activities at Mototolo Platinum Mine.


3. Policy Statement

Mototolo Platinum Mine mandates completion of designated training programs prior to commencing work and on an ongoing basis to maintain competency, safety, and operational excellence.


4. Mandatory Between

  • Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Training:

    • Site Safety Induction

    • Hazard Awareness and Risk Management

    • Emergency Response Procedures

    • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Usage

    • Fire Safety and Evacuation Drills

  • Operational Training:

    • Equipment Operation and Maintenance

    • Fuel Handling and HAZMAT Compliance

    • Process Control and Quality Assurance

  • Compliance Training:

    • Code of Conduct and Ethics

    • Anti-Corruption and Fraud Awareness

    • Data Privacy and Confidentiality

    • Environmental Protection and Sustainability

  • Role-Specific Training:

    • Leadership and Supervisory Skills

    • Technical Certifications relevant to specific job functions

    • First Aid and Medical Response (where applicable)


5. Training Delivery

  • Training may be delivered via classroom sessions, e-learning modules, practical demonstrations, or on-the-job coaching.

  • Records of completed training are maintained by Human Resources and HSE departments.


6. Compliance and Consequences

  • Completion of mandatory training is a condition for employment and site access.

  • Non-compliance may result in restricted site access, suspension, or disciplinary action.

  • Refresher training will be scheduled periodically based on regulatory requirements and operational needs.


7. Responsibilities

  • Employees: Ensure timely completion of all mandatory training.

  • Managers: Monitor team compliance and facilitate access to training.

  • Human Resources: Track training completion, schedule refresher courses, and maintain training records.

  • HSE Department: Develop and update training content aligned with best practices and regulatory changes.


8. Review

This policy shall be reviewed annually or as required to reflect changes in legislation, operational needs, or best practices.
