Located near Burgersfort in South Africa's Limpopo province, the Mototolo mine is a significant platinum group metals (PGM) operation and a cornerstone asset for Valterra Platinum. As a key component of the Mototolo-Der Brochen Complex, the mine is integral to our PGM portfolio and is strategically positioned on the prolific Eastern Limb of the Bushveld Complex.
Mototolo represents one of South Africa's largest platinum resources, with estimated reserves of 5.5 million PGM ounces, underpinning its long-term value and strategic importance to our operations.

Mining Method: Highly efficient bord-and-pillar mining methods are utilized to access the rich UG2 reef, located approximately 450 meters below the surface.
World-Class Infrastructure: The mine is supported by comprehensive, world-class infrastructure, including two decline shaft systems (Lebowa and Borwa), an advanced concentrator, a dedicated chromite processing plant, and modern tailings facilities.
<Consistent Production: Mototolo consistently delivers a stable production of approximately 250,000 PGM ounces annually, contributing significantly to Valterra's output.

It is a leading producer of platinum group metals (PGMs) with operations in South Africa and Zimbabwe. The company has six mining operations, a smelter, and a refinery.
